George VI never expected the throne. His brother abdicated in 1936 and handed it to him. 2. His daughter then held it for seventy years, longer than any British monarch before her. 3. Four children, and the succession runs through the eldest. Everything else on this row is off the main line. 4. The marriages are what people actually followed. Diana, then Camilla, then the two sons going separate ways. ## Sources - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_VI - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_II - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Margaret,_Countess_of_Snowdon - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Philip,_Duke_of_Edinburgh - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_III - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne,_Princess_Royal - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Andrew,_Duke_of_York - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Edward,_Duke_of_Edinburgh - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diana,_Princess_of_Wales - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Camilla - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William,_Prince_of_Wales - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Harry,_Duke_of_Sussex - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine,_Princess_of_Wales - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meghan,_Duchess_of_Sussex - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_George_of_Wales - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Charlotte_of_Wales - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Louis_of_Wales
